Back in 1996, a young boy entered the desert for the first time as a boy scout to learn essential survival skills. Little did he know that this trip would fuel an undying passion that would revolutionize and redefine adventure travel across Egypt's deserts. This
young boy was Mohab El Naggar.
For years, Mohab shared his excitement with close friends and family taking them on unforgettable trips across Egypt's hidden gems; whether it was Fayoum, Bahariya, Siwa, and even the Red Sea. In no time, he built a reputation amongst his sphere as the go-to person for any trip preparation across Egypt. As he grew older, Mohab's enthusiasm became contagious and trips started to include friends, then friends of friends, and then friends of friends of friends... it became apparent that Mohab had a beautiful desire that people across Egypt as well as the world wanted to share with him... and that's exactly what he sought out to do... thus the creation of Saharina and Tzila hospitality.
Today, Mohab's passion has reflected on his wife Marina Fahim, where their love was fueled by the desert resulting in Egypt's youngest adventurers yet: their beloved sons Faris & Malek.
Our Story
Established in 2019, Tzila sought out a small Eco lodge in the heart of Tunis Village Fayoum to provide a rustic ambience to accommodate a group of friends and family looking to have a getaway from the buzzing sounds and blinding lights of modern day Egypt. With the success of the lodge demand for an "escape from urbanization" soared prompting Tzila to create the ultimate escape: Tzila Camp. Located in the heart of the Fayoum desert: Tzila Camp quickly became a pioneer in the field of glamping, offering it's escapers a beautiful setting under the stars without jeopardizing the ultimate comfort they deserve. In no time, escapers came flocking from all over the world to experience the true serenity of Fayoum... But for Tzila that was only the first step of many to come... Nearing the end of 2021, Tzila hospitality escaped the borders of Fayoum to add a new member into the Tzila family: Tzila Bahariya. Located in Bahariya Oasis, Tzila raised a one-of-a-kind 35 acre resort/Eco lodge, offering its escapers a blend of its two successors; a rustic Eco lodge in the heart of the Bahariya desert. Whether it's in Fayoum, Bahariya Oasis, or wherever we go next, we have always striven for excellence in beauty, or as we like to call it "Tzila".
